Thriller Research- The Dark Knight Rises (2012) [James]

The Dark Knight Rises

-The many CU's and Mid to long shots create a very restricted narration, this creates questions on what is going to happen.
- a lot of the camerawork is handheld, to create the sense of being on a plane.

-Lighting is high key, showing importance, doesn't need to hide who they are, they don't want to hide.

-action code is a main part in this opening, not hiding much eveything being shown, creates unrestricted narration.
- a contrast of long and short takes, creating suspense with the juxtaposition of having both.

-Sound heavily non diegetic because of them being in a plane, also non-diegetic sound of when the other plane is above, distorts other sounds.

-soundtrack is of bass and drums, creates suspense with the pace and irregularity of the timing.
