5.) How did you attract/address your audience? [Jake]

How did you Attract/Address your audience?

-Our audience was 18-35 males, our job to attract viewers was manifested through the story of deceit, Violence and gripping twits, the Spy thriller genre as a whole has already proved a phenomenally popular genre category so we felt like aiming for a film genre that had already proved successful was a very good start.

-As the protagonist begins to uncover the plot of murder that is planned for him and his fellow comrades the militaristic, clinical and highly professional training of a top spy becomes present, this adds suspense and action to the film and appeals strongly to the male viewers. His journey is one too be in awe of and this appeals to all ages as the protagonist is in the end labelled as something of a hero as he saves himself and the rest of his surviving colleaguesfrom the corrupted chain of murders.

-Most people aspire to be wealthy and our protagonist is perceived as being financially well off, Mise en scene with his hair, clothing, props and setting all suggest him being wealthy, we built a character who in retirement had been well nourished and relaxed but still maintained his expertise in the field of espionage. We felt this character was quite unique and still had the vulnerabilities of retirement as he is pushed harder and harder to free himself from being a target.

With dialouge we aimed for it to represent the characters, the protagonist for example is direct and would use terminology of his field, we also wanted him to have empathy and therefore be liked by the audience.
The antagonist would be opposite in all the good ways and show no remorse or empathy, we want the audience to dislike him but wanted an older audience so they could understand his skill in his trained field, even if he way using it for murder.

The use of camera would attempt to highlight the protagonist in a good way, possibly eye level close ups to represent honesty or high angle to suggest moral superiority over the antagonist. Editing would be quite slow paced at the beginning but as more and more tales of corruption come into play the editing would get faster and faster and provide the action that our age audience would enjoy, especially if the right language and realistic violence were used.
